Customer Security Should Always Be Top Priority.
The security of any and all transactions is always a key to customer satisfaction and peace of mind. Our booking system will use a secure SSL Certificate to ensure that any form data is sent securely.
There are several different levels of SSL certificate for your booking system, each providing a visual clue for the visitor that the booking system is secured. Each has a cost associated with it, and higher levels require communication with the Certificate provider in order to prove the authenticity and ownership of the skip booking system. Depending on the level requested will determine the costs.
Payment Details Are Never Saved In Our System
Using your preferred payment gateway is another level of security. No payment details are sent or kept by our system. When someone places an order, after entering required shipping and billing address information, they are sent securely to the payment website, hosted at Worlpay, SagePay, Barclays etc. And payment details are entered directly there. The confirmation codes along with all order details are sent back to us either confirmed or rejected. So no payment details are ever kept by our system.
In this example, the billing address information is sent securely to WorldPay, where the customer only has to enter the card details. These details are held directly at WorldPay and not within your booking system. Once the payment is accepted, the details of the order along with a transaction ID or sent securely back to your website. So we receive notice that payment has been approved and a transaction ID is attached to the order identifying the order as paid. Then we simply need to confirm the details of the order, reviewing any delivery dates etc. and marking it complete.
Only approved payments show in your orders list.
Once payment is complete, the payment gateway will send confirmation back to the booking system with transaction ID numbers. This allows us to reference the order on the payment website should we need to review it. If a payment is successful, the order is marked as “Processing” and an email is automatically generated to the manager of the booking system, as well as the customer. Letting them know the payment has been taken successfully and that their order is being reviewed.
This is all done automatically by the payment service and the booking system. Sending the required data securely back and forth. So your system has the customer billing and shipping details, as well as proof that payment has been made. We will only ever receive this upon a successful payment. If a payment is refused, the order will not appear in our system. So we are safe knowing that only fully paid orders will appear ready for confirmation.
